Food is, arguably, the most important aspect of any event or party……and not just food but GREAT food.  Deciding on a menu can be stressful, having talent or know how in the kitchen can be tough, preparing a large quantity of food in a small kitchen can be arduous, and knowing exactly how much to prepare can be tricky. If you feel like you’ve bitten off more than you can chew and are worried that you will disappoint your guests, allow us to take the food burden from your plate!

With over 35 years of combined experience in the food, beverage and hospitality industry, Paris and Chef Jordan Baldarotta have been serving the Champaign Urbana community with quality, excellence and dedication.  Baldarotta’s aims to keep things extremely easy and convenient for you. We will always arrive on time, our menu offers exceptional, original & exclusive Italian and Sicilian cuisine, and our rates are competitive. with all of that being said, you can't go wrong!


What is Drop Off Catering?

This means we will deliver the food cooked and ready to serve, set up the buffet, provide disposable flatware, plateware, napkins, and even single-use chafers and sternos to keep your food hot and fresh!   We do not offer clean-up services or provide on-site staffing.

Why should I go with drop off catering?

There are great reasons to go with drop off catering. For one, it allows you to have total control over your party – you choose when and how you’d like to serve your guests.  Secondly, drop off catering will save you a significant amount of money since you are only paying for the food and not paying for a wait staff.

Does Baldarotta’s provide drop off catering for all types of events?

Yes, many people believe that drop off catering is only used for informal events such as back yard birthday parties, corporate lunches, anniversary parties or graduation celebrations, but this simply isn’t true. More and more, people in the Champaign-Urbana area are turning to drop off catering for more lavish events such as wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners. The reason is simple: drop off catering can help to keep you within budget, which will allow you to splurge on other things such as décor and entertainment.

Is there maximum number of guests that Baldarotta’s can serve?

No, we are able to accommodate as many guests as you would like us to serve!  (If you say 10,000 people, then we will need to talk!)

Fees & Policies    
-Minimum $100 order (excludes taxes, service charge, and/or credit card fees)
-18% service charge on pre-tax total of all standard catering orders.
-10% service charge on pre-tax Box lunch orders.
-10.5% State & Local Sales Tax on total order
-3.5% charge on all credit card orders (charged on total with tax and service charge) 
-on larger events that require the buffet to be serviced and replenished, we can provide a staff person for an additional charge.
-all event orders must be placed no later than 3 days before the event date. Some exceptions may apply so please contact us as we may be  able to accommodate your order.
-Children 8 years of age and under will be charged ½ price of the agreed upon price per person but not LOwer than $10.00 per child.
-If there is a need to leave a food carrier to keep extra food warm and it is damaged or missing upon pick up, then there is a $250 replacement fee.
-Baldarotta’s is not responsible for any food left out or mishandled after the service team leaves the premises. We recommend that the food be eaten or disposed of within 4 hours and be kept at proper temperatures while it is available to guests.

 Payment Terms and Conditions
-50% of total order is due at contract signing (orders are not confirmed until the 50% down payment is received and contract is signed)
-The remaining 50% balance due and final guest count is due by 9am, 3 business days prior to the event date.  National Holidays are not considered working days and should be taken into consideration when submitting guarantees.
-If catering event is booked 3 business days or less prior to the event date, then 100% of the amount due must be paid in full at the time of booking.
-All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
-If event/order is cancelled, all payments are non-refundable and any remaining balance is still due.
-We accept cash, credit card and checks. If paying with a check, it must be received 2 weeks prior to the event date.
-Return check fee is $50.

 Guest Counts, Menu Alterations & Food Costs
-Final count can only vary by 10% less of the original contracted guest count.
-A requested increase in final guest count cannot be guaranteed less than 3 business days before the event date, but we will make every effort to accommodate any requests.
-The contracted price per person may not be reduced even in the case the menu is altered.
-Menu alterations must be approved by the caterer, cannot be guaranteed and MAY require a price increase.
-Due to possible fluctuating cost of food items that arise from weather conditions that negatively affect agriculture, menu prices are subject to change within fourteen (14) days of the event. If a drastic change in the menu cost occurs, the Client has two (2) options
        a) Client will pay the additional cost based on the current adjusted price, or
        b) Client can substitute other menu item(s) to maintain the agreed upon per person price.

 Delivery Policy
-We will deliver to Champaign, Urbana & Savoy at no extra charge.  If you are outside of this area, additional charges MAY apply.
-We cannot guarantee a delivery at an exact time.
-Requested delivery time must be at least 30 minutes prior to event service start time.
-We guarantee that your order will be set up and ready by requested service time.
